Interactive Executive Agenda Explores the New Success Factors for Gaining Strategic Value from IT Investments
CIO magazine contributing editors Abbie Lundberg and Lane Cooper have been tapped to moderate the general sessions for CSC ASPIRE 2014 conference at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida from Monday October 27 – Wednesday October 29, 2014.
The ASPIRE conference will explore the new rules of successful strategic IT leadership currently separating high-performance organizations from their competition.
Lundberg — President of Lundberg Media and CIO magazine’s former Editor-in-Chief – and Cooper — Editorial Director of BizTechReports — will lead no-holds-barred discussions on the key technology trends, business relationships, core competencies and enterprise strategies defining the next generation of leaders across the spectrum of vertical industries.
The moderators will facilitate incisive discussions on the latest research from the Leading Edge Forum, the London-based think tank responsible for identifying — and helping large organizations adopt — the key “next practices” at the growing intersection between business and information technology.
The conference will feature candid interviews and panel discussions with CIOs from global 2000 enterprises, as well as insightful conversations with the technology players that are redefining how IT delivers value to their organizations.
To put the issues and imperatives into the broadest and most strategic context, ASPIRE conference attendees will hear from:
* Steven Levitt & Stephen Dubner, Best-Selling Authors of “Freakonomics,” “SuperFreakonomics,” and “Think Like a Freak.”;
* Keith Ferrazzi, Author of bestselling books “Never Eat Alone” and “Who’s Got Your Back?” and CEO of Greenlight Research Institute;
* Shiv Nadar, Founder and Chairman, HCL, Shiv Nadar Foundation; and
* William Forrest, Principal at McKinsey and Company
“Digital disruption requires that CIOs think and operate differently. At ASPIRE we have an opportunity to challenge the status quo and engage with key leaders in business and technology to define what the next chapter of business will look like,” said Lundberg.
“The conference is packed with influential thought leaders. But it is the interactivity that has been built into the agenda that I am most excited about. Our plan is to make sure every IT leader in attendance has an opportunity to ask questions, make observations, and challenge assumptions so that we can advance the discussion about what it means to implement winning technology-enabled business strategies,” said Cooper.
